  • Jan 1945 - 6th US Army was established in the Philippine at 208 Quiricada Street in Sta Crus, Manila and became the first clinical laboratory in the country. It is where the Manila Public Health Laboratory is presently located.
  • Sept 1945 - 26th Medical Laboratory was reorganized by Dr. Pio de Roda
  • January, 1945 - Medical laboratory, now known as the Manila Public Health Laboratory was formally organized under the leadership of Dr. Pio de Roda
