P3 - SHC

• method:

  1. place thermometer into smaller hole of metal block and measure starting temperature
  2. turn on power supply and start stopwatch
  3. record current using ammeter, potential difference using voltmeter and temperature using thermometer at 60 seconds
  4. repeat every 60 seconds for 10 minutes
  5. to calculate energy transferred, multiply time, current and potential difference
  6. use c = energy change/mass x temp change to calculate SHC
