  • story that appears to associate homosexuality with being the root of all that is wrong
  • however, homosexuality is not mentioned in this story - it is much more about gender violence
• 1 Corinthians

  • list of people that won't get into heaven such as "adulterers", "the greedy" and "drunkards", as well as "men who have sex with men"
  • however, most people would come under those listed - so suggests everyone needs forgiveness
• Romans 1:26-28 "you, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgement on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgement do the same things"

  • there is need for forgiveness
  • you shouldn't judge others
