• The solute is the substance taht dissolves and the solvent is teh substance that is dissolves in
• When a substance dissolves, its particles separate and bevome completely mixed with the particles of the solvent
• If substance can dissolve in a particular solvent it is soluble in that solvent. However if it can't, it is insoluble in that solvent.
• Substances can be soluble in some solvents but not in others
