• Symptoms of hypocalcaemia?

  Mild - lethargy and weakness

  Severe - Tetany, laryngospasm, bronchospasm, seizures, cardiac arrest
• What are the ECG findings in hypocalcaemia?

  QT prolongation > torsades de pointes > cardiac arrest
• What do you give in mild hypocalcaemia?

  Oral calcium carbonate 15000mg once/twice daily
• What do you give in severe hypocalcaemia?

  IV calcium gluconate
