• • Scott was not working during the Classic Hollywood era- so no Hayes Code or Studio System
  • so he had so much more control over how his films looked
• • he presents themes that run through his works which include: heroines, artificial intelliigence/technology, class conciousness, and the relationship between humanity and a hostile universe
• • his visual style includes things that are experimental such as: his cinematography, use of colour and light, dynamic storytelling ( not just narrating events, but combining many things to create connections).
• • he's also quite adventurous in his storytelling style, often using unconventional structures
• • he's known for being quite in control of lots of elements of production
