    Insertion: lateral lip of the bicipital groove of humerus
    Nerve supply: Medial and Lateral pectoral nerves from the brachial plexus

    Action: Adducts the arm and rotates it medially, clavicular fiber also flex arm

    Action: Depresses point of shoulder, if scapula is fixed, it elevates the rib of origin

    Insertion: Clavicle
    Nerve supply: Nerve to subclavius from upper trunk of brachial plexus
    Nerve root: c5*, c6
    Action: Depresses the clavicle, and steadies this bone during movement of the shoulder girdle

    Origin: Upper eight ribs
    Insertion: Medial border and inferior angle of the scapula
    Nerve supply: Long Thoracic Nerve
    Nerve roots: c5, c6*, c7*
    Action: Draw the forward anterior around the thoracic wall, rotates scapula
