• The closer to the sun the comet is the faster it will travel because the gravitational force is stronger
• We experience day and night due to the rotation of the earth on its axis
• it takes 24hours for one rotation
• the side of the earth facing the sun experiences daylight
• we get seasons because the earth is tilted on its axis and orbits the sun
• in summer, the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun
• this increases the intensity of sunlight and causes a longer length of daylight
• stars are formed when a big cloud of gas and dust space is pulled together by gravitational attraction
• Speed = distance/time
• acceleration = change in velocity/time
• Distance = speed x time
• Time = distance/speed
• average speed = total distance / total time
