  • inveterate: habitual, persistent, or chronic in nature; persistent or habitual
  • infrequent: seldom, rarely, not often, not often at all
  • annals: a collection of historical records, especially those of a particular country or period, written by a person or group of persons
  • chronic: happening repeatedly over a long period of time, or lasting for a long time
  • contemporaneous: at the same time, at the same period of time.
  • deter: to prevent someone from doing something by making them think it is bad or dangerous; discourage
  • abhor: to hate or dislike very much (opposite of love)
  • intrepid: bold, unafraid of danger, daring, courageous, enterprising
  • formidable: intimidating, powerful, impressive, formidable, threatening, dangerous
  • irreverant: showing no respect for something or someone; mocking or mocking
  • timorous: timid, scared of something, shy, afraid of something
