strengths of FPTP

• It’s fair : Everybody gets 1 vote and the candidate with the most votes will win. It is fair the most popular candidate wins e.g. Alister Jack won 44% which was more than any other candidate.
• Single Party Government :Normally creates 1 party majority governments. This makes it easier for them to pass laws that they promised in their election manifesto. Boris used his 80 seat majority to pass bills to ‘Get Brexit Done’.
