Menstruation

• In day 1-5, the egg breaks and the lining of the uterus is shed. This is menstruation.
• Ovulation occurs on day 14. This is when the egg is released.
• In day 5-14, an egg starts to mature in the ovary.
• In day 14-28 the egg is released, which is ovulation. The lining of the uterus is built.
• Between day 14-28, the lining of the uterus becomes thicker, awaiting a fertilised egg.
