Reflection and Refraction

• Angle of incidence = Angle of reflection

  
• The normal line is perpendicular to the object reflecting
• Refraction is when waves bend
• The greater the change in speed of a wave, the more it refracts
• If the light ray is travelling into a more dense object, it slows down, causing it to refract towards the normal
• Red light refracts the least due to its long wavelength, Violet light refracts the most as it has the shortest wavelength = smallest change in speed
