  • Mediational processes
    Attention - the extent which we notice certain behaviours
    Retention - how well the behaviour is remebered
    Motor reproduction - the ability of the observer to perform the behaviour
    Motivation - the will to perform the behaviour, which is often determined by whether the behaviour was rewarded or punished
  • What is vicarious learning?
    A type of indirect learning that takes place when we observe someone else's behaviour.
    We watch and learn about the likely consequences of an action and then decide whether we will copy that behaviour ourselves or not.
    We are more likely to imitate the people we identify with, the person they identify with is called a role model and the process is called modelling
