The circulatory system

• The heart is made up of four chambers, two atria (upper) and two ventricles (lower).
• Deoxygenated blood is pumped from the heart to the lungs where it is oxygenated
• Oxygenated blood is pumped from the heart to the lungs and then to the body tissues
