• Rural areas have a very low population size and density
• There are lesser functions in rural areas than in cities
• Rural cities are less built up than cities
• City and rural areas in many countries are still connected by movements of people, goods and services despite their differences
• Rural urban migration

  -hard labour -higher education

  -harsh environment -higher pay
• A city is an urban area within a country
• Cities rely on rural area for much of their food supply because they have very limited space for agriculture activities
• Rural areas either rear animals and grow crops for their own needs or sell them at markets in cities
• Rural inhabitants can benefit from amenities(services) available in cities
• Hospitals in Cities have more advanced treatment and more experts on medical help which might not be available in where rural inhabitants live
• Rural inhabitants can also buy certain goods that are only available from malls in the city

  Cities have extensive infrastructure which is a system of buildings and equipment to provide basic services

  It has many manufacturing industries that produce and sell a variety of products which include -iron -paper -cars
• Large population size

  Cities have a large population size compared to other locations in the country

  Countries around the world also use different guidelines to identify their cities
