  • Angus observes that people are rebelling against Macbeth, and his army only fights because they are commanded to, not out of love for him
  • Angus remarks that Macbeth's title of King no longer fits him, comparing him to a dwarfish thief wearing the robes of a giant
  • Menthe sympathizes with Macbeth, understanding that he blames himself for everything he has done
  • Catness suggests marching on to give loyalty to someone who truly deserves it, like Malcolm, the doctor who will cure the sick country
  • Lennox proposes pouring out their blood to help Malcolm, the Royal flower, grow and drown the weeds
  • Lennox concludes the scene by suggesting marching to Birnam to support Malcolm
