    • a term of its being a physical product, meaning is not found in it as it is focused on its structure -the skeleton- of it. "words, sentences, numbers, and symbols."

    • provides information about 1 or more topics. Aims to inform, explain, expound, and interpret. Formal and specific.

    • Also called as "persuasive". Used to convince reader to believe the writer's views as it must contain a

    • refers how language is used to convey meaning, propel action, or provoke a response.
