• Main differences between DNA and RNA are: DNA is double stranded and RNA is single stranded. DNA contains deoxyribose, while RNA contains ribose.The nitrogenous bases of DNA are adenine, cytosine, guanine, and thymine, while the bases of RNA are uracil, cytosine, guanine, and adenine.
• DNA replication occurs when two complementary strands separate to form new strands that can join together with another strand
• DNA replication : The process by which a DNA molecule is copied to produce two identical DNA molecules.
• The DNA double helix unwinds and unzips.

  Using free nucleotides from the nucleoplasm.

  This results in 2 identical DNA molecules

  Each molecule consists of one new strand and one original.

  This process is under the control of enzymes. This process is known as DNA replication.
