    • Pouch of pigmented skin, fibrous and connective tissue, and smooth muscle
    • Divided into two compartments, each containing one testis, one epididymis, and the testicular end of a spermatic cord
    • Protects and provides climate control for testicles
  • Testes:
    • Oval-shaped organs in the scrotum
    • Produce testosterone and sperm
    • Spermatic cord holds them in place and supplies blood
  • Epididymis:
    • Coiled tube resting on the back of each testicle
    • Carries and stores sperm cells
    • Brings sperm to maturity
  • Vas Deferens:
    • Long, muscular tube from epididymis to the pelvic cavity
    • Transports mature sperm to the urethra for ejaculation
  • Ejaculatory Ducts:
    • Formed by the vas deferens joining with seminal vesicle ducts
    • Collect fluid from the prostate to add to semen
  • Seminal Vesicles:
    • Sack-like pouches near the base of the bladder
    • Make up 80% of ejaculatory fluid, including fructose for sperm energy
  • Prostate Gland:
    • Walnut-sized gland below the bladder
    • Adds fluid to ejaculate to nourish sperm
  • Urethra:
    • Tube that carries pee from the bladder outside the body
