  • What is the mean?
    Total of all numbers divided by how many numbers there are.
  • What is the median?
    The middle number in a list of ordered numbers.
  • What is the mode?
    The most common number in a list.
  • What is the range?
    The difference between the biggest and smallest numbers in a list.
  • How do you find a percentage on a calculator?
    Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100.
  • If an equation has a positive and a negative (or vice versa) number... what will the answer be?
    It will be a negative number.
  • If an equation has 2 positive numbers or 2 negative numbers... what will the answer be?
    It will be a positive number.
  • How do you find a fraction of a number?
    You divide by the denominator then multiply that answer by the numerator.
  • How do you work out speed/distance and time?
    Speed = distance x time
    Distance = speed divided by time
    Time = distance divided by speed
  • If an algebra question is: x + x + x ... what would the answer be?
    3x

    Times the amount of money invested by the multiplier ... to the power of how many years.
  • What lines meet at a 90 degree angle?
    Perpendicular lines.
  • What lines have the same distance/length apart but never meet?
    Parallel lines.
  • What lines are a straight line across?
    Horizontal lines.
  • What lines are straight upwards/downwards?
    Vertical lines.
  • What lines are straight corner to corner?
