• 4 key features of correlations:

  1. relationship between two variables
  2. positive or negative
  3. strong or weak
  4. correlation coefficient or a scattergram
• positive correlation: as one variable increases, so does the other

  negative correlation: as one variable increases, the other decreases
• 1=perfect correlation

  0.8=strong correlation

  0.5=moderate correlation

  0.3=weak correlation

  0=zero correlation
