• Antonio J. Molina is the "Father of Philippine Impressionist Music", and he composed "Malikmata".
• Hilario Rubio is a composer, music teacher, conductor, and clarinetist, "Unang Katas" is one of his works.
• Col. Antonio Buenaventura promoted Philippine music by extensively using folk material in his work, her also composed "Mindanao Sketches".
• Lucio San Pedro is also known as Romantic Nationalist, he composed "Sa Ugoy ng Duyan", and "Lahing Kayumanggi".
• Cipriano "Ryan" Cayabyab is the National Artist for Music (2008). He is regarded as a 'Transformation Composer. His works: Alikabok, Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika, and Kumukutikutitap.
• Francisco Buencamino ventured into musical direction and scoring for films as well as composing several zarzuelas and kundimans. Some of his works are Mayon, Larawan, and Maligayang Bati.
• Dr. Rodolfo S. Cornejo is the researcher and official composer of the Philippine Government in exile under President Manuel L. Quezon. Some of his works are Kandingan, Ibong Adarna, and Paalam na Sinta.
• Felipe De Leon was a Filipino classical music composer, he composed Himig, Sapagkat Mahal Kita, Magtanim ay 'Di Biro, Alitaptap, and Payang Daigdig.
• Constancio De Guzman was the "Dean of Filipino movie composers and musical directors", some of his works are Bayan ko, Ang Tangi kong Pag-Ibig, Sa Lumang Simbahan, and Babalik Ka Rin.
• Levi Celerio is a National Artist in Music. Made himself to the Guinness Book of World Records for being one of the people to make music with a leaf. Ang Pasko ay Sumapit is one of his works.
• George Canseco is a nationally acclaimed composer of numerous popular Filipino Classics. His works are Ikaw, Dito Ba, Hiram, Tubig at Langis, and Kailangan Kita.
• Rosendo Santos Jr. is considered as a prolific composer who composed the background music for J. Arthur Rank Films at Pinewood Studios in London, England. His works are Melinda's Masquerade and Portrait of an Artist.
• Alfredo Buenaventura holds the sole distinction among Filipino composers for having composed five full-length operas. His works are Maria Makiling, Diego Silang, and Prinsesa Urduha.
• Jose Maceda dedicated his work tot he understanding and preservation of Filipino traditional music, he's also a National Artist for Music. Some of his works are Pagsamba, Ugma-Ugma, U'dlot-Udlot, and Agungan.
• Lucrecia R. Kasilag is known for incorporating indigenous Filipino Instruments into Orchestral Productions. Some of his works are Dularawan, The Legend of Sarimanok, and Toccata for Percussion and Winds.
• Jerry Dadap is a Filipino composer to first conducted his works at the Carnegie Recital Hall in New York City. He composed Andres Bonifacio: Ang Dakilang Anak Pawis.
• Fr. Manuel Maramba is best known as a liturgical composer whose body of works leans toward religious figures and events. His works are Santo, Aleluia, and Bakit Kaya.
• Ramon P. Santos' compositional style features chromatism, music seria, and electronic components, combined with indigenous Philippine music elements. Some of his works are Ding Ding Nga Diyawa, and Tuksuhan.
• Francisco Feliciano is one of Asia's leading figures in liturgical music, having composed hundreds of liturgical pieces. Some of his works are Pokpok Alimpako, Salimbayan, and Panugun.

• Angel Pena is a founder of traditional Jazz in the Philippines. Some of his works are Bagbagtulambing and Igorot Rhapsody.
