• A row matrix is a matrix which only contains one row
• A column matrix is a matrix which only contains one column
• A null matrix in one in which all elements are 0
• A square matrix is a matrix with an equal number of rows as columns
• A diagonal matrix is a matrix in which all elements are 0 except in the diagonal
• A unit matrix is one in which the diagonal elements are equal to 1
• Matrices of the same order can be added or subtracted by adding or subtracting corresponding elements (same place)
