  • Gravity
Causes the force of attraction between any two objects with mass.
  • It is the force between two large objects which attract other forces of mass, pulling everything to the centre.
  • Gravity acts everywhere in the universe, not just earth.
It can only pull, not push.
It acts in the centre of each object.
  • On earth, the gravitational field strength is approximately 10N/kg = 10m/s2
    Weight (N) = Mass (kg) * G.F.S (N/kg)
  • Weight is a downward pulling on an object due to gravity. It is measured in Newtons (N). Can change depending on where you are.
  • The strength of gravity (gravitational field strength or G.F.S) changes on different astronomical bodies (moons, planets, etc.)
