  • Types of goals:
    • Long-term: Extend into the future, achieved in one or several years
    • Short-term: Something to do in the near future
    • Intermediate goals: Provide information to alter plans if necessary, can serve as process goals

    • Rank them in order of priority or importance
    • Ensure they are realistic and achievable
    • Decide on a method or sequence of actions
