Acceleration Practical

Cards (1)

  • Acceleration
    1. Set up the runway with the trolley connected via a string over a pulley to a hanging mass.
    2. Place the light gate along the runway to measure the trolley's speed.
    3. Release the trolley and record the time it takes to pass through the light gate.
    4. Calculate acceleration using the change in velocity over time.
    5. Repeat the experiment with varying masses to change the force applied.
    6. Plot a graph of force against acceleration to verify Newton's Second Law
