• H-R diagram (hertzsprung-russell diagram):

  this diagram is a way of presenting a lot of information about stars, it shows their size, temperature, colour, luminosity (brightness) and they are grouped into the different stages of the star's life cycle. for example, the main sequence stars are all in a line, the red giants are grouped together.

  
• large mass stars:

  large mass stars, also known as high-mass stars, are stars with a mass significantly greater than our sun (8 times the sun's mass or more).
• low mass stars:

  low-mass stars are stars with masses generally between 0.5 and 8 times the mass of the sun.
