• awit is dodecasyllabic. For romance
• corrido is octosyllabic, for martial and adventures
• lyric poetry is intended to be sung and needs a lyre instrument
• song; lyric of various theme
• ode is for noble and exalted emotions
• elegy; for sad themes
• sonnet; 14 iambic pentameter usually for love and beautiful things
• idyll; celebrating thr tranquil of country
• psalm; song for Jesus and Mary
• Drama are presented with live audience. Emotionally appealing\
• Tragedy; when the character do not meet thriumph
• comedy; similar to trgedy except that the character met his/her happy ending
• melodrama; both tragedy and comedy. Has happy tone
• farce; exaggerated comedy
• social play; tackles about the social issues such as gender criticism, racism, poverty, corruption
• Literary elements are particular identifiable characters of an text
• internal conflict- against desires and beliefs
• external conflict- againsts something out of our control/one's control
• literary devices are used to express ideas, convey an idea, and highlights the important keys

• metaphor- direct comparison
• irony are used to convey a meaning opposite to its meaning
• imagery use to create a picture in the minds of the reader. Uses figurative language

• hyperbole- exaggerated description
• literary techniques. specific and deliberate, uses to convey a meaning . Not neccersarilly in all the text
• magic realism- brining magic to the real world
• pastiche, borrowing a text, and have the intention not to mock but to honor the original text
• paranoia give the readers a blur perspective about the reality and appearance. delusion of being persecuted

• symbolism, uses elements to represent ideas
