    • They profess their love for each other and arrange to get married the following day with the Nurse's help

    • Romeo persuades Friar Lawrence to marry him to Juliet
    • The Friar is surprised but agrees in hope it will unite the families
  • Scene 4
    • Benvolio and Mercutio discuss a challenge set by Tybalt
    • Romeo joins them and then the Nurse asks when Juliet should meet him

    The Nurse tells Juliet about the marriage arrangements
