Variables

• A variable is anything that can be changed that will affect the output or results of an investigation
• Independent:

  • The factor that is intentionally changed by the investigator/scientist
  • There can only be 1 independent variable
• Dependent:

  • Changes throughout the experiment/ investigation
  • Is measured/observed
• Fixed:

  • Set
  • Does not change
  • Remains constant
