What is the differtial association theory
Sutherland argued that we learn criminal behaviour from family and friends and that it becomes normalised.
He says exposure from being in an enviroment where criminal behaviour is seen as normal
EXAMPLE: Gang culture - violence is glorified

What is the Social learning theory
He belives children copy the behavior of role models
If a person watches another person being rewarded for behaviour , they are more likley to copy that behavior - this is known as vicarious reinforcement

Children are shown vidoes of an adult being aggressive towards a bobo doll but all being rewarded diffrently
