What is censorship?
The practise of suppressing or limiting access to materials considered obscene, offensive or a threat to security. People may also be restricted in their speech by censorship laws
What is discrimination?
When individuals or groups of people are treated differently based on a prejudice
What is extremism?
Believing, supporting or acting on the ideas that are very far from what most people would consider correct or reasonable
What are Human Rights?
The basic entitlement of all human beings, given to them simply because they are human
What is Prejudice?
When someone pre-judges a person unfairly without knowing them
What is meant by Personal Conviction?
Something a person feels strongly about
What is meant by Absolute Poverty?
An acute state of deprivation, whereby a person cannot access the most basic of human needs such as water and shelter
What is relative poverty?
A standard of poverty that is measured in relation to the standards of society
What is meant by Social Justice?
The belief that all humans should be treated equally and fairly. Everyone should have equal access to provisions, equal opportunities, and equal rights
