Termination

• Two free radicals react to form a stable molecule that no longer participates in the reaction
• The formation of stable molecules stops the chain reaction
• There are three possible reactions

  1. Cl + Cl -> Cl2
  2. CH3 + Cl -> CH3Cl
  3. CH3 + CH3 -> C2H6
