Nazism and the rise of hitler

• The Second World War- 1939-1945. Fought between:

  Axis Powers:- Germany, Italy and Japan.

  Allied Powers:- France, Britain, Russia and USA.
• Treaty of Versailles- Germany was blamed for starting WWI and was forced to pay reparations.
• Weimar Republic- The government set up after WW1. It lasted from 1918 until Hitler came into power in 1933.
• Adolf Hitler-

  Born in Austria in 1889. He headed the National Socialist German Workers' Party which later became the Nazi Party. On 30 January 1933, Hitler became the Chancellor. On 28 February 1993 he suspended civic rights. On 3 March 1993 the Enabling Act was passed.
