    Greece invaded Bulgaria after Greek soldiers died on the border
    League forced Greek withdrawal & to pay compensation
    Seemed hypocritical after Corfu

    Aim: to tackle the trade of illegal drugs
    Success - blacklisted 4 large companies
    Failure - some countries in the League didn't want to stop opium trade because they made a profit

    Aim: to improve living conditions
    Success - sent financial advisers to Austria and Hungary to rebuild their economies when they went bankrupt in 1921
    Failure - unable to cope with global depression after 1929
  • International Labour Organisation
    Aim - to improve working conditions
    Success - in the 1920s death rate of workers on the Tanganyika railway reduced from 50+% to 4%
    Failure - in 1919 most members refused to stop children under 14 from working as it would be too expensive
