  • 7 MAJOR ELEMENTS OF COMMUNICATION
    1. Source - the one who shares information
    2. Message - information that the source wants to communicate
    3. Encoding - assembling the message so receiver can understand the message
    4. Channel - medium, where message is communicated through
    5. Decoding - receiver processing the message (understanding, listening)
    6. Receiver - receiver of information
    7. Feedback - reply, response, or reaction

    • Ability to access, analyze, response to a range of media.
    • Evaluate and create media in variety of forms.

    • Ability to recognize when information is needed
    • Locate, evaluate, and efficiently communicate
  • Technology Literacy
    • Ability of an individual, either working independently or with others, to responsibly, appropriately, and effectively use technological tools
  • Media and Information Literacy
    • Set of competencies that empower citizens to access, retrieve, understand, evaluate, and use media as well.
    • Uncludes information & communication literacy and digital literacy
    • Develops critical thinking and life-ling learning skill
