Coronary Artery Supply

Cards (2)

    • The following table indicates the regions of the heart that are generally supplied by the different coronary arteries
    • This anatomic distribution is important because these cardiac regions can be assessed by 12 lead ECG to help localize ischaemic or infarcted regions and then correlated with specific coronary arteries
    • However, because of vessel heterogeneity between individuals, actual vessel involvement in ischaemic conditions needs to be verified by coronary angiograms or other types of imaging

    A) right coronary artery
    B) left anterior descending artery
    C) distal left anterior descending artery
    D) circumflex artery
