This means using cognitive stimulation: playing an old song and asking the patient to tell the story of how they first heard it.

  VSSP assumes all information was visual. This is a weakness because blind people have excellent spatial awareness, as proved by Lieberman in 1980, suggesting the VSSP explanation may be flawed.
