  • work plans are used to plan and organise the work of a project team, and to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget. important to ensure production goes smoothly. also known as a production schedule
  • A Gantt chart shows all the tasks involved in completing a project, with bars representing the duration of each task. The length of each bar indicates when it needs to be started and finished. Gantt charts are bar graphs which illustrate the start and finish dates of individual tasks or activities in a project. They can be created using software such as Excel
  • The main advantage of a Gantt Chart is that it provides an overview of the entire project at once so everyone knows exactly where they stand. It helps identify potential problems early on and allows them to be addressed quickly. This means there's less chance of delays down the line.
