Life and Death

• Death-the end of physical life.When the physical body ceases completely to function
• Eternal life -Life in Heaven after death.
• Heaven-those who have accepted God's grace and forgiveness in life will enjoy eternal existence in God's presence.The face to face encounter with God is called Heaven
• Hell-Those who reject God's grace and forgiveness will live outside Gos's presence .The lack of God for all eternity is called 'hell'
• Judgment- The belief that each individual will be held to account for their actions in the afterlife.
• Soul: the spiritual or immaterial part of a human being or animal, regarded as immortal
• Resurrection-the raising of the body to life again after death.Christians believe Jesus has experienced resurrection and all people will at the end of time
• Magisterium- the teaching authority of the church exercised by the Bishops of communion with the pope
