    USSR's recovery plan for Eastern Europe after World War II which involved financial aid to Eastern Europe, but also saw the USSR control the economies of the Satellite states.

    - DESTALINISATION
    -encouraged the satellite states to try to weaken soviet influence. The Hungarians will turn against their hard-line leader, Rakosi, and try to implement change under a new leader called Nagy.
