  • erlenmeyer flask = a beaker with a narrow neck and a wide base, good for stirring without causing a mess.
  • volumetric flask = a circular beaker, good for boiling things evenly. ( no corners or edges to equal burning throughout)
  • utility clamps = clamps onto stands or to tables in order to hold things in place.
  • beaker : a open faced glass cup that allows for the mixing of chemicals in large amounts
  • always wear goggles when doing a lab
  • beaker tongs= used to hold beakers under the cusp ( to prevent burning since hot and cold beakers look the same)
  • test tube tongs= used to hold test tubes ( same reasons as the beaker tongs)
  • crucible tongs= the exact. same. thing. exact. same thing as the other tongs except you hold on to the lid.
  • mortar and pestle = used for grinding / crushing things into a powder
  • eye dropper / med dropper = a glass tube with a rubber stopper. It allowed u to hold and drop small amounts of liquid
  • funnel = allows liquids to flow from one container to another without spilling
  • graduated cylinder = accurately measures the volume of liquids
  • scoopula= to scoop.
  • evapourating dish= holds evapourating liquids.
  • wire gauze= placed over an o- ring to help spread the flame / heat
  • spot plate= holds many small test tube like holes, is used for watching multiple small reactions
  • stand= helps things stand/
  • clay triangke= holds hot crucibles
  • bunsen burner= uses gas to cause a flame
  • flint= causes a spark to start bunsen burner
  • hot plate= keep things hot
  • stirring rod= to stir. tf
  • test tube rack= to hold test tubes
  • petri dish= to view mirco organisms
  • test tube brush = to clean test tubes
  • o-ring= attatches to a stand to hold an apparatus (wtf is that...)
  • rubber stoppers = used to seal beakers and test tubes
  • tweezers= pick up and hold small obejcts.
  • electric weight= measures things
  • overflow can= measures density of irregular objects
  • cover slip and slider = parts of a microscope used for watching withings
  • thermometer= bro. easiest shi ever.
  • watch glas= holds small solids for viewing
  • pipette= picks up and delivers exact amounts of small liquids
  • wash bottle= distilled water used for washing.
  • goggles=.... bro.BRO.
  • No loose clothing or jewlery.
  • Long hair is tied back, do not wear open toed shoes
