  • The world power I have studied is the US. One government response to tackle educational inequalities is STEM education funding. This type of funding allows Americans opportunity to access tools and education to help them succeed particularly within STEM subjects. Accessing these tools helps Americans achieve the skills to obtain a stable job and compete in the job market. For example, The Department of Education announced nearly $2.3 million in new grant awards for the Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program, which strengthens science and engineering education programs and reduces barriers to entry in STEM careers for students of color, particularly wome
  • Another government response to tackle educational inequalities is Improving Student Achievement Agenda (ISAA). This programme was launched in 2024 and is focused on supporting evidence-based strategies that will accelerate academic performance for every child in school. For example, the agenda will focus on three particular areas - increasing student attendance in schools, improving tutoring opportunities and further expanding after-school and summer learning experiences for students.
