• The commonwealth games (2014) saw billions spent on improved transport in the Dalmarnock area
• Athletes Village (new, modern housing) was built. It is eco-friendly housing which sold out fast.
• New sports centre, cafe and dentist were built - legacy
• This was successful as improved housing and many were sold in an area where people mostly rented.

• It attracted new people creating a greater social mix
• Better transport networks created good links for businesses/workers
