He often used ordinary people as models for his religious and mythological paintings. Some of his works in the video are The Calling of Saint Matthew, which shows the moment when Jesus invites the tax collector to follow him; and The Conversion of Saint Paul, which shows the moment when the persecutor of Christians falls from his horse and sees a vision of Jesus.
