  • Sizes 1-10
  • Sharp-pointed
  • Medium length with large eyes for easy threading
  • Used for most standard embroidery stitchery
• Chenille needles:

  • Sizes 13-26
  • Sharp-pointed
  • Thicker and longer than crewel needles
  • Have larger eyes
  • Appropriate for embroidery worked with heavier yarns
• Tapestry needles:

  • Sizes 13-26
  • Similar in size to chenille needles
  • Blunt rather than sharp
  • Best for thread-counting embroidery and needlepoint
