• Trolley on ramp experiment

  1. Measure distances between light gate 1 and 2, and 2 and 3
  2. Hold the trolley still at the start and then let go so it rolls down the ramp
  3. As it rolls, it accelerates
  4. Each light gate will record the time the trolley passes through
  5. acceleration = change in speed (speed from 1->2 and 2->3) / time
