• Humans have higher intelligence than animals
• The catechism of the Catholic Church is the official compendium of the Catholic teaching. They look at four main areas:

  • Profession of faith

  • celebration of Christian mystery

  • life in celebration of the Christian mystery

  • Christian prayer
• Genesis 1 vs 2:

  SIMILARITIES:

  • God created humans, animals, and everything in the world

  • We were created in God's love

  • Humans rule over all other living things

  •Eve was made from Adam's rib

  DIFFERENCES:

  Genesis 1:

  • six days

  • before creation there was water

  • Adam Spoken into existence

  • Humans made last

  Genesis 2:

  • one day

  • before creation there was desert

  • Adam was made from dust

  • man made first and woman made last
• FUNDAMENTAL:

  • strictly follow exact word of God
  • literal interpretation of Bible

  CONTEXTUAL:

  • Understands the Bible in its historical grammatical, and cultural context
  • instead of seeing the Bible as literal they Interpret through context

  LIBERAL:

  • believe that there are multiple interpretations of the Bible & may interpret the Bible to fit in modern society.
  • believe the Bible was written about god then rather by God

  One: Humans are a Creation of God

  Two: Humans are a mixture of earth and divine breath
