• The word "superficial" refers to something that is near the surface, while "deep" refers to something that is far from the surface.
• Medial means towards the midline of the body.
• Inferior means towards the feet or lower part of the body.
• The word "posterior" means towards the back or behind.
• Superior means towards the head or upper part of the body.
• The word "anterior" means towards the front.
• Posterior means back, behind
• Inferior means below, towards the feet
• Medial means closer to midline
• The prefix "hyper-" means excessive or above normal levels.
• The suffix "-cele" indicates an abnormal enlargement or swelling.
• The term "hypo-" denotes below normal levels.
• Proximal means closer to the point of attachment or origin.
• Lateral means away from the midline of the body.
• Anterior means towards the front of the body.
• Anterior means towards the front or forward side of the body.
• Medial means nearer to the midline (median plane)
