Stability

  • The surface area and quality of the BoS
  • The location of the LoG within the BoS (more central more stable)
  • The height of the CoG above the BoS (lower more stable)
  • The mass of the body (*friction)

  • the area within the BoS within which a person can move their CoG & remain balanced
  • going past your limit can result in you reacting to change stability (e.g. step) or you fall
